Please visit your local county DMV. Student and parent/guardian must go to the DMV together. The fee is $26.50. DO NOT LOSE THE RECEIPT. Be sure to tell the DMV “Nampa Driving Academy” for the school so the permit gets mailed directly to us.

The DMV requires the following items to purchase the permit:

  2. Birth Certificate (Certified)

  3. Social Security Card (or number)

  4. Student Photo ID (or any photo ID)

  5. Parent ID (Example: Driver's License)

What is the letter of compliance?

The letter of compliance is a specific letter provided by your student’s school stating they are enrolled and within good standing. Please call your student’s school directly for this letter. If your student is home schooled please provide DMV proof of enrollment.

I’m from out of state. What do we do?

If you are under 17 years old and have completed driver training in another state (and have not been issued a license in that state), you will be required to provide acceptable proof of driver training completion. If you are not surrendering an out-of-state license, you will also be required to complete a supervised driving period prior to licensing.

If you are under 17 years old and have an out-of-state driver’s license you will not be required to provide proof of driver training and the supervised driving period will not be required. An out-of-state driver’s license may be used for 90 continuous days (from the time an Idaho domicile is established) before an Idaho driver’s license is required.

Do you offer a discount?

Unfortunately, all program fees are due in full at the time of purchase. If you are struggling financially we suggest you reach out to Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and they may be able to assist with the fees.

However, we do offer a Family Discount! Have multiple students? Please let us know and we will honor a $25 family discount for registering more than 1 student with us!

Refund Policy

Nampa Driving Academy does not issue refunds as a part of doing business. We will enroll a student in another session as a ONE TIME no charge courtesy. However, a 10 day notice of such cancellation is REQUIRED (No Exceptions).
